Parents, Students, and Staff, We are still very concerned about the percentage of positive tests in the last 14 days for our county. However, our staff members have been at work for the last two weeks, and we have had no new cases. At this time, we plan to welcome in-person students back to school on January 19, 2021. Please keep in mind that many of our 1st semester distance learners have opted for in-person learning this semester. This will make social distancing in the classroom more difficult. When we have a positive case in the school, it is likely that our quarantines will involve a lot more students. I am providing a few reminders about some of our health and safety practices. • Disinfecting our school buildings and buses routinely • Requiring students to wear masks on the school buses • Encouraging the use of face masks/coverings • The high school and middle school students and staff will be required to wear face masks/coverings during classroom transitions.
