The Museum of Aviation received a Flint Electric Grant to serve their district, which was offered to Taylor County 5th grade students. The students were able to attend a field trip to The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, GA, on January 6th & 7th, at no expense to them. While visiting the Museum the students were taken on two tours, the first tour allowed the students to experience WWII and the second tour allowed the students to learn more about the Military and how they used various airplanes in different war settings. In addition, the students learned more about the Tuskegee Airmen and several local HEROS. The tours were directly related to 5th grade Social Studies standards. TCUES wants to express our appreciation to Flint Energies for bringing learning to life for our 5th graders.
