Taylor County Middle School recently received a Gold Award in the Greatest Gains category from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement. The award places TCMS in the top 3% of schools in the state in terms of academic growth over the last three years. The Greatest Gains award category has four tiers: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Schools selected as Gold winners place between the 97th and 99th percentile statewide in the average CCRPI Progress score over the last three years, earn a CCRPI single score in 2024 that is no more than 10 points lower than the CCRPI single score in 2019, and are excluded from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement's 2024 Georgia Promise Scholarship Public School List and the GADOE's Improvement lists. Taylor County Middle School is one of 146 Greatest Gains schools in the state and one of only 19 schools to receive the 2024 Gold Award for Greatest Gains.
