July 30, 2021
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
As we approach the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year, I would like to thank each of you for your support and patience throughout the last school year. We are planning to return to a more traditional school environment. However, we will be prepared to respond to any new developments that occur. We will continue to consider the guidance from the Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Department of Public Health, Centers for Disease Control, Georgia High School Association, Governor’s Office, Taylor County Health Department and local health officials in the event of any health concerns that arise related to COVID-19.
The Taylor County School District plans to only utilize in-person instruction for your children during the 2021-2022 school year. We will continue to follow some of the health and safety procedures and strategies that were in place last year, and we have plans to make improvements to HVAC systems and water fountains to provide a healthier environment. Additionally, we are enhancing our intervention programs to address academic needs that have been exacerbated as a result of COVID-19. Click on the link below for a detailed explanation of the 2021-2022 school year health and safety procedures and strategies and new initiatives.
