Due to concerns about transporting students safely, the Taylor County School District will be closed on January 23, 2025. For students in grades 6-12, there will be virtual school assignments. Ms. McCrary and Mrs. Parks will communicate further information concerning these assignments.
We still plan to have the public hearing related to the board’s intention to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption at the board office at 10:00 a.m.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Tomorrow, 1/21/25, will be a virtual learning day for TCHS students. Teachers will use Google Classroom and school email to communicate with students about assignments. Assignments will be posted or emailed by 9:30 AM tomorrow morning. Due dates will be communicated along with assignment instructions.
Students, if you have any questions about assignments, please email your teachers using school email addresses.

Final exams are this Tuesday and Wednesday, 12/17 and 12/18. Students will be informed of their exemption status on Monday, 12/16. On Tuesday and Wednesday, students who are exempt from both scheduled final exams will not counted absent for the entire day. Students will only be counted absent if they are not exempt from a final. Please note that on Wednesday, we will run our schedule in backwards order: Block 4, Block 3, Block 2, and Block 1 so that exams may be given in the morning.

Taylor County's 2024 Champion for Education is Jeff Watson. Each year, Chattahoochee-Flint RESA recognizes outstanding individuals in each community who go above and beyond the norm to assist and promote local schools and other educational agencies.
