Dual Enrollment Biology has worked on an experiment for the past 2 weeks called "Evolution in Real Time: Bacteria and Antibiotic Resistance". The students created antibiotic-resistant bacteria to simulate how quickly bacteria can become antibiotic-resistant. They were taught proper sterile techniques and the prevention of cross-contamination. Students were also taught how to properly clean up this lab and destroy the bacteria.
