Taylor County High School FBLA attended the Region 6 Leadership Conference on Tuesday, January 14th. They competed in a number of events, and several chapter members were able to advance to state competition in March.
TCHS FBLA was recognized as having the 2nd most chapter members in region 6 with a total membership count of 53. Jashala Jackson, Jordan Towns, and Nayandice Ellison earned a bid to state in the Monopoly Challenge. Amiyha Gross placed 7th in Job Interview , and Kaiden Russell placed 6th in Public Speaking. Cayden Coleman placed 9th in Economics and moves on to the next round at state where he will also compete as a Future Business Educator. Danica Zheng placed 6th in Financial Math and 1st in Public Service Announcement and will move on to the next round in both events. Valeria Zepeda-Manzo placed 6th in Business Communications and will compete at state along with Jonasia Davis and Makayla Dugger who placed 1st in Visual Design.
